The ONE Planet ONE Chance Reusable Cup System is owned and operated by Event Cup Solutions – one of the UK’s premier suppliers of reusable cups to the UK events & hospitality industry. Event Cup Solutions is a ClimatePartner certified company.

It is the UK’s only carbon-neutral reusable cup system, designed to solve the ‘problem’ of reusable cups at stadia, music venues, festivals and large-scale events.

With wash centres around the country along with our own fleet of self-owned vehicles, we have the infrastructure capable of delivering a world-class reusable cup service.

We turn a potential negative into a very strong positive environmental proposition and solution. Our goal is to become an integral part of YOUR team.

And we’re very proud of the fact that the ONE Planet ONE Chance Reusable Cup System was voted the WINNER of the Green Supplier & Innovation Award by industry professionals at Vision:2025 at The Showman’s Show 2021. Our director, John Reeves, is pictured in the centre.

Our team

John Reeves

SALES director

John, a co-founder of the ONE Planet ONE Chance® Reusable Cup System, has over 30 years’ experience in the food service, hospitality and catering sector. As the owner of Dtangle – a consultancy advising on EU, UK & devolved administration legislation on packaging and single-use, he is our resident geek when it comes to regulations and general stuff! John recently became ‘Carbon Literate’ and helps ECS and our clients change their behaviour to help the planet have a more sustainable future.

John is responsible for new business generation.

Karen Cmela

Commercial Director

Karen has been involved in catering and hospitality planning & operations for almost 30 years.  Having been involved in iconic & prestigious including the London 2012 Olympics and the Commonwealth Games in Manchester through to Royal Ascot and Goodwood, Karen brings a wealth of operational experience and expertise to the company.  In her spare time, Karen can be found in the kitchen trying out new recipes or spending time in her garden.  She has also recently taken up running, with the aim of taking part one day in the London Marathon, to tick this off her bucket list!

David Lee

Head of Event Management

David heads up the event operations strategy, planning and implementation team at the ONE Planet ONE Chance® Reusable Cup System. David has over 20+ years experience in the FMCG, food service, hospitality and catering sectors in senior commercial and man-management roles. Away from the office he enjoys great quality family time, playing tennis and also helps coach youth footballers for his local club.

David is responsible for managing our clients’ initial onboarding process, developing a joint event plan with them and delivering & implementing this on-site with his team.

David will then involve Helga & Melissa (below) with operations & logistics to ensure successful outcomes for our clients.

Simon Wiser

Head of Marketing

Simon heads up the marketing team at the ONE Planet ONE Chance® Reusable Cup System, and has a wealth of experience in the event & hospitality industry, having spent over 20+ years dealing with clients on major projects.  Away from the office, he enjoys playing squash, presenting football shows on live streams and walking the family dog.

Simon is responsible for liaising with our clients from a marketing standpoint to produce client/event-specific digital and/or physical marketing assets to ensure that the reusable cup system is communicated to customers pre-event and during the event, in a consistent, engaging & informative way.

Simon works with Richard & Kyle (below) to achieve the above in a timely manner.

Helga Linton

Office Manager

Helga has a strong administration in commerce background, with 30+ years of experience working in a variety of different sectors, and brings high levels of organisation, efficiency and a proactive nature to the role. Away from work, Helga has a love of animals and so enjoys walking her 2 dogs and spending time with her horses.

Melissa Howarth

Sales Operations Manager

Melissa keeps a tight control over stock & warehouse movements at our HQ. This ensures that our clients receive exactly what they ordered, on the correct day and at the correct time, as part of our first-class service commitment.

Richard Preece

Marketing Manager

Richard, our marketing manager, has over a decade of experience in the events industry. With an eye for detail, he also brings with him photography and post-shoot editing skills. Richard is responsible for key areas of online and offline marketing, including our presence at trade shows, exhibitions and other networking events. Outside of work, he cycles as much as time will allow.

Kyle France

Digital Marketing Manager

Our digital marketing manager Kyle is responsible for overall web development, graphic design and social media activity here at the ONE Planet ONE Chance® Reusable Cup System. With a passion for everything online, Kyle is an integral part of the marketing team and helps to ensure that our online activities are timely, relevant and successful.
